How we see children
Children are not empty vessels waiting to be filled. They arrive with questions, theories, and a pull toward the world that is entirely their own. Our approach encourages children to follow that curiosity, develop a sense of wonder, and make discoveries each day. Here, early learning is defined by intentional, active play and hands-on exploration. We plant seeds that grow into future success for children throughout Pennsylvania.
In the rooms, that philosophy looks like low shelves children can reach, materials chosen for what they invite, and teachers who watch before they speak. Small groups gather around a question or a project. A teacher kneels to a child's eye level, asks what they notice, and waits. What you notice in practice
Teachers here work at eye level, close enough to hear a whisper and notice a hesitation. They follow the child's lead rather than redirecting to a plan. A group of two or three may gather at a table while others build on the floor. The teacher's job is to notice what a child is trying to do and to make that possible.
Rooms are set up so children can choose and reach what they need. Materials sit at child height. There are places to build, places to look closely, places to be quiet. How we work with families
At pickup, families hear what their child did that day. SproutAbout, the family communications app, keeps them connected with live streaming video of the classroom. Questions get answered as they come up. Ask us anything about your child's day or how we do things.
The first weeks are their own kind of learning, for the child and for you. We offer part-time enrollment for working families who want high-quality care that fits their routine.
